Ace Radio own many of Victoria's rural radio stations and came to us with a problem around upgrading their existing and dated digital footprint.
Their concern with moving into more into the digital space was 'would people come to their website to just listen to their shows?'
Our recommendation to Ace was to become a media hub rather than just another radio station.
It had to be about the media content and user experience as well as the shows and music.
We also recommended they look at their advertising model and use new techniques such as 'full page take over' ads to supplement their banner ads .
As part of our research, we identified that the UX had to be intuitive and the UI had to recede into the background in order to make the site successful.
We delivered a responsive website with a customised homepage interface through which the user could customise their priority of content categories, resize articles and choose from various display methods.
My role included Creative Direction, UX Research and Ideation.
