Over the two years of my tenure, I helped to initiate and implement a strategic sequence of internal projects that included:
In business terms, this contributed to a rapid growth in client work, staff numbers (300%), revenue (300%), and net profit (75%) over the two years.
After taking sole ownership of the company in 2004, I put in place a strategy to build and develop the company that included:
a transition to a pure play digital service offering
sourcing and recruiting specialist digital staff to complement our new service offering
introducing systems and processes to handle larger teams including overflow/ freelancing staff
successfully tendering the company to become an ANZ preferred supplier
building and growing client relationships over a period of 9 years
maintaining a focus on developing and fostering culture within the company at all times.
The results of these were:
increase in revenue by 300% over a 5 year period (2006 - 2011)
increase in profitability by 10% over a 3 year period (2006 - 2009)
increase in market awareness (won a couple of awards)
the sale of the company in early 2012
a loyal and close-knit team culture that I am still very proud of.
