Whilst at ONQ, we pitched for the Hamilton Island digital footprint. Part of that involved putting together a concept of how the new site may look.
The challenge was to make the site stand out within the myriad of tourism sites.
Within the research phase of the project, our insights informed us that going online to book a holiday after a hard day at work was quite overwhelming. So we needed something to create instant cut through and break that feeling.
We decided to give the users an overwhelming positive and inspirational feeling by using large blocks of sea blue to create a 'calm blue ocean' feel.
The design leveraged off that philosophy utilising as much high impact imagery and shades of blue as possible.
My role included Research, Ideation and Concept Development.
